Russian embassy responds to US accusations of “deportation of Ukrainian children”

Russia is doing everything possible to protect children who are forced to flee from the “shelling and atrocities” of the Ukrainian army. About it reported in the press service of the Russian Embassy in the United States in response to the State Department’s accusation of “deportation of Ukrainian children.”

“Russia accepted children who were forced to flee with their families from the shelling and atrocities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine <...> Instead of politicized insinuations, the State Department should have given an adequate assessment of the actions of the Kyiv regime, at the hands of which children are killed and injured during the conflict, ”the message says.

The embassy added that with the help of Western weapons, in particular American HIMARS rocket systems, Ukrainian troops are delivering “targeted strikes” on schools, kindergartens and hospitals. The mission noted that in the past year alone, 153 children died in the Donbass, 279 were injured.

“These facts are shamelessly hushed up by Washington for the sake of whitewashing itself and slandering Russia,” the mission concluded.

At the Russian embassy commented the words of the representative of the US State Department, Ned Price, who accused Moscow of forcibly deporting the children of Ukraine. On February 15, the United States published report, prepared by the Yale Humanitarian Research Laboratory, about the removal of more than 6,000 children from Ukrainian territory. The report also says that the Russian authorities allegedly “re-educate” children in order to instill in them pro-Russian views.
