The Russian kamikaze drone “Lancet” destroyed the American Avenger air defense system transferred to Kyiv in the NVO zone. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The air defense system was destroyed in the area of the village of Vodiane.
Avengers are designed to hit air targets on a collision course and in pursuit at altitudes of 0.5-3.8 km and ranges of 0.5-5.5 km. According to the latest data, Western countries handed over 12 such vehicles to Ukraine in February 2023.
