The Russian Ministry of Defense signed a state contract with the Central Research Institute Burevestnik (part of Rostec) for the supply of the latest 2S43 Malva wheeled howitzers. The company will also supply the department with other weapons and equipment. This was announced by the announcer at the signing ceremony at the international forum “Army-2023”, the message leads “RIA News”.
The Burevestnik Central Research Institute will also supply the Russian army with modernized 120-mm mortar systems on the chassis of the Ural-43206 2S12A vehicle, 2B24 82-mm mortars and 2B11 120-mm mortars on 2L81 wheels.
Forum “Army-2023” is held on August 14-20 in Kubinka in the Moscow region. In the Ministry of Defense reportedwhich signed contracts with enterprises of the military-industrial complex (DIC) and awarded government contracts for more than 400 billion rubles.
Earlier it was reported that Rostec modernizes 152-mm self-propelled guns “Malva” for confrontation with howitzers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The new “Malva” will have an increased firing range.
