Russian Ambassador to Spain Yuri Klimenko has been summoned to the country’s Foreign Ministry. About it informs newspaper El Confidential, citing diplomatic sources.
According to El Confidencial, Secretary of State for Foreign and Global Affairs Angeles Moreno met with Klymenko. She demanded an explanation for the publication of the video, “hinting that Spain is sending troops to Ukraine.”
In the video, two armed men in military uniform speak Spanish as they are in “Ukrainian trenches”. Now there is no video in the accounts of the diplomatic mission. The newspaper writes that the Russian side agreed to remove it at the request of the Spanish Foreign Ministry. The Ministry of Defense of the kingdom also denied the data on the presence of the Spanish military in Ukraine, the newspaper notes.
Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed messages about the call of the Russian ambassador TASS. Details of the diplomat’s visit to the Spanish department are not given.
