Russian Ambassador summoned to Czech Foreign Ministry over Nebenzy’s words about Dugina’s murder

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky summoned Russian Ambassador to Prague Alexander Zmeevsky after the words of Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya about the murder of Daria Dugina.

“I decided to call the Russian ambassador to the Czech Foreign Ministry. Deputy Minister Jaroslav Kurfirst strongly objected to Russia’s outrageous and false accusations against the Czech Republic in the UN Security Council,” wrote Czech Foreign Minister on Twitter.

Earlier, Czech Defense Minister Yana Chernokhova said that she did not feel sorry for either Daria or her father. She added that the night of August 21 “in Russia will be remembered for a long time”, and later said that she “signs herself under every word.”

According to Nebenzi, the minister’s words are “open support and propaganda of terrorist attacks against a civilian.” He expressed hope that the competent authorities of the Czech Republic would pay attention to Chernokhova’s statement. Nebenzya also called on the UN Security Council and the leadership of the organization to condemn the murder of Daria Dugina, calling it a “crime of the Kyiv regime.”

In turn, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala denied Nebenzi’s accusations against the country’s defense minister and called them “the highest manifestation of cynicism.”

Journalist Daria Dugina, daughter of Alexander Dugin, a public figure and ideologist of “Eurasianism”, died on the evening of August 20, when she was returning in her father’s car from the Tradition festival. SUV Toyota The Land Cruiser Prado, in which the journalist was located, exploded and caught fire at full speed at about 21:00 near the village of Bolshie Vyazemy, Odintsovo District.

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences to the family of the deceased, calling the crime committed vile and cruel. Later, he signed a decree awarding Dugina the Order of Courage posthumously.

On August 22, the Russian FSB announced that the murder had been solved, saying that the Ukrainian special services were behind it. In particular, the FSB clarifies, a citizen of Ukraine Vovk Natalia Pavlovna, born in 1979, was involved in the murder.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that “there can be no mercy” for those responsible for the death of Dugina. He expressed hope that the FSB would quickly complete the investigation of the crime.

At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities deny their involvement in the murder of the journalist. On the eve of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Kyiv is not responsible for the death of Dugina.
