Yakutia Airlines dismantled for spare parts two of the four Superjet 100 aircraft that it previously received on lease. It is reported “Vedomosti“.
According to sources of the newspaper, the dismantled aircraft can no longer be restored, since they lack marching power plants and other key units. The liners have been in this state for more than a year.
The problems are related to the sanctions of Western countries, which have stopped supplying Russia with the necessary components for the production and maintenance of aircraft.
In particular, the Russian-French company PowerJet does not produce or service the SaM146 engines that were used in the Superjets.
