Russian aircraft hit the places of accumulation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye direction

Assault and army aviation of the Vostok grouping of troops hit more than ten places of accumulation of manpower and equipment of Ukrainian troops in the Zaporozhye direction, told “RIA Novosti” head of the press center of the group, Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Chekhov.

According to him, the aircraft hit the places of accumulation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the city of Pyatikhatka, Dnepropetrovsk region, the villages of Rabotino and Priyutnoe, Zaporozhye region. Russian troops also thwarted an enemy attempt to rotate their military in the Novodarovka area, and in the Mirny area they managed to liquidate a Ukrainian reconnaissance group, and a mortar crew was destroyed by artillery fire there, Chekhov added.

In the direction of Rabotino, the Russian forces repelled the attack and eliminated the manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, tanks, armored combat vehicles and mortar crew, and during the counter-battery fight in the area of ​​Chervona Krinitsa, they destroyed the towed howitzer. The press center of the group also said that in the Yuzhnodonetsk direction, Vostok liquidated two reconnaissance groups in the area west of Makarovka, and a mortar crew was destroyed east of Urozhaynoye. In addition, according to Chekhov, the crew of the Osa anti-aircraft missile system shot down two Fury drones and two Valkyries.

The military operation of Russia in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
