The Russian Ministry of Defense received a batch of high-altitude upgraded MiG-31 fighter-interceptors from the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).
After the modernization, the aircraft received more opportunities and functions, they were sent to the bases. The work was carried out by the aviation plant of Nzhny Novgorod “Sokol” within the framework of the state defense order for the Aerospace Forces of Russia.

According to UAC Director General Yuri Slyusar, the modernization of MiGs is one of the Sokol’s main areas. The fulfillment of contracts of the Ministry of Defense continues.
