Russia plans to increase the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). By 2024, it is planned to produce about 18 thousand UAVs, and by 2030 this figure will exceed 30 thousand. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vasily Shpak in an interview with TASS at the Army forum.
He noted that in the coming years, production will continue to grow to meet the needs of various sectors of the economy and strengthen technological sovereignty over domestic unmanned aerial systems. This will be achieved by reducing the import of UAVs and their components. In 2024, it is planned to produce about 18 thousand civilian UAVs, and in the future this figure will grow, reaching more than 30 thousand units by 2030.
