Russia sent a note to the Swedish Foreign Ministry after the desecration of a monument to Soviet soldiers

The Russian embassy sent a note to the Swedish Foreign Ministry after the desecration of a memorial stone to Soviet soldiers in the Karlsvik district of the Luleå municipality. About it reported in the official Telegram channel of the embassy.

The embassy said that they were “deeply saddened that Bandera’s supporters in Sweden can calmly behave in the same way as under the wing of Zelensky’s gang” and demanded that the original appearance of the monument be restored. In addition, demands have been made to investigate the incident, find and punish those responsible, and ensure the safety of all such burials in Sweden.

“We remind you that for such illegal acts, the Swedish criminal code provides for compensation for damage, payment of a fine or imprisonment for a period of 6 months to 4 years. We hope that the memorial will be restored as soon as possible, and that the Nazis and their accomplices will not be allowed to carry out such crimes in the future!” the embassy concluded.

Memorial sign to Soviet prisoners of war opened May 8, 2015 on the initiative of the Russian-Swedish organization Sputnik. The stone says: “In memory of 24,339 Soviet soldiers and civilians who were here in 1945 after liberation from German captivity in Norway.” People arrived at this place in carriages, they were warmly received, fed and provided with the necessary assistance.
