Russia ratified an agreement on joint medical support for CSTO troops

Russia has ratified an agreement on joint logistics and medical support for troops of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), signed in Dushanbe on September 16, 2021. The document was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin published on the legal information website.

The document clarifies that in the event of the deployment and use of a group of CSTO troops in Russia, the provision of medical care to the wounded will be undertaken by the military medical organizations of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. If there are no such organizations in the region, then their functions will be performed by the regular forces of the medical service of the sending parties in cooperation with military medical organizations of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

From September 1 to 6 at the training grounds of the Brest, Grodno and Minsk regions of Belarus passed joint operational-strategic exercises of the CSTO “Combat Brotherhood – 2023”. Contingents from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan took part in the exercises.
