Russia imposed sanctions against 347 citizens of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia

Russia has imposed sanctions against 347 citizens of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. This was announced on Tuesday, March 12, by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is clarified that the decision was made due to “the hostile policies of the countries and interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation.”

The Foreign Ministry also noted that the list of citizens subject to restrictions may be expanded. Currently, the “stop list” includes former presidents of republics, ministers, parliament members, public figures and journalists.

It was previously known that Estonia refused to confiscate cars with Russian license plates by analogy with how they do it in Latvia and Lithuania. It is clarified that from March 13, car owners who have not re-registered them within the prescribed period will be fined 400 euros.
