The Russian state corporation Rostec announced the creation of a new bicaliber multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) called “Vozrozhdenie”. The general director of the company, Sergei Chemezov, said that the remote mining machine “Agriculture” can also be used as an MLRS if it is equipped with a unified transport and launch container.
The created container allows launching rockets from Hurricane or heavy flamethrower systems. The general director noted that the machine has already been tested and confirmed the relevance of the development.
Serial production of the MLRS will begin in the first half of next year. The new multiple launch rocket system can mine terrain with 140 mm caliber shells and hit targets with 220 mm caliber shells. Earlier it was reported about the creation in Russia of a new MLRS “Sarma”, capable of firing guided ammunition.
