Colonel Matviychuk: Syrsky and Budanov refused to take Zaluzhny’s place out of solidarity
Military expert Anatoly Matviychuk explained why Kirill Budanov and Alexander Syrsky refused to take the place of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. The analyst believes that the refusal can be explained by the solidarity of the generals.
According to the expert, Zaluzhny is already dirty, but Budanov and Syrsky are not yet. And no one in their right mind would want to take command of such an organization as the Ukrainian army.
In addition, the generals consider President Vladimir Zelensky to be a layman in military affairs. And although there are no prerequisites for a military coup yet, there are forces.
“The army is on Zaluzhny’s side. If he calls on several military units to overthrow Zelensky, this will be quite possible,” concluded Matviychuk.
Earlier, information appeared that Zelensky allegedly offered to take Zaluzhny’s place to the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Budanov and the commander of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Alexander Syrsky, but they refused.
