Türkiye and Russia increased the share of settlements in national currencies. This was announced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak at a meeting of the mixed intergovernmental Russian-Turkish commission (IPC) on trade and economic cooperation in Ankara.
“The share of settlements in national currencies is increasing. Mr. Bolat and I (Omer Bolat, Minister of Trade of Turkey.— “Ъ”) we are increasing the indicators as much as we can, planning new joint projects,” said the Deputy Prime Minister (quoted from RIA Novosti).
Last year, Türkiye took second place in the list of Russia’s trading partners. Bilateral trade turnover increased by 85.8%, reports press service government.
Mr. Novak emphasized that the main areas of cooperation with Turkey were agriculture, energy, transport and logistics, as well as the development of industry, financial and banking interaction and tourism.
