Russia and Iran agreed to zero customs duties on mutual trade by March 2024, reports IRNA with reference to Kambiz Merkazemi, a member of the Joint Iranian-Russian Chamber of Commerce.
According to him, the decision to liberalize trade with Eurasian countries will help Iranian businesses in solving problems related to duties, tariffs and competition with other manufacturers.
As the agency notes, Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia, are already close to concluding a “long-awaited” free trade agreement; a corresponding decision may be made before the end of the year.
On October 19, it was reported that the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu Deal on joint assistance to victims in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone.
