Russia and China will hold naval exercises “North / Interaction-2023” in the Sea of Japan, follows from the message of the Russian Defense Ministry. The ships of the Pacific Fleet left Vladivostok.
Russia will be represented in the exercises by large anti-submarine ships Admiral Tributs, Admiral Panteleev, corvettes Thundering and Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov. The actions will be led by the commander of the Primorsky Flotilla of the diverse forces of the Pacific Fleet, Rear Admiral Valery Kazakov, Interfax reports a message from the Russian Defense Ministry.
A few days ago, four warships and one supply vessel for the Chinese Navy left the port of Qingdao. Beijing intends to use aviation in the exercises. China stated that the purpose of the exercises was to increase the level of strategic cooperation between the two armies and improve the ability to “jointly maintain regional peace and stability, and respond to various security challenges.”
