Russia and China sign five agreements in Beijing – Kommersant

Following the talks between Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Chinese Premier Li Qiang, the Russian-Chinese delegations signed five agreements. Among them is a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Economy of Russia and the Ministry of Commerce of China on investments in trade in services. According to the memorandum, the parties will develop interregional trade in services, encourage the participation of enterprises in exhibitions and fairs, and encourage them to hold joint events.
A protocol was also signed on phytosanitary requirements for millet exported from Russia to China. It will operate between the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Main Customs Administration of China. The second agreement is on phytosanitary requirements for medicinal plant raw materials for Chinese medicine exported from Russia.
A memorandum of friendship and cooperation was also signed between the Ministry of Sports and the State General Administration for Physical Culture and Sports of China. A joint statement was made on plans to extend the Patent Fast Track Pilot Program between Rospatent and the State Intellectual Property Administration of China.
After the talks, the Russian prime minister is to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
