Russia and China have formulated a joint position on the Ukrainian conflict

In a joint statement by Russia and China following the talks between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, a separate item notes the position on the conflict in Ukraine.
The document says that Russia considers the considerations set out in the Chinese plan to resolve the situation in Ukraine as constructive.
Responsible dialogue is recognized as the optimal way for a sustainable settlement.
At the same time, Russia and China called for an end to all steps that would escalate tensions and prolong hostilities in Ukraine.
In addition, China and the Russian Federation are called upon to avoid further degradation of the crisis in the Ukrainian conflict up to its transition into an uncontrolled phase.
At the same time, Russia positively assesses the objective and unbiased position of the PRC on the Ukrainian crisis. And the PRC positively assesses Russia’s readiness to make efforts to restart the peace talks on Ukraine as soon as possible.
