Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin met with his Belarusian counterpart Roman Golovchenko. Politicians discussed strengthening integration between both countries. Following the negotiations, the prime ministers will sign an agreement on the mutual recognition of digital signatures. It will allow Russian and Belarusian entrepreneurs to participate in government procurement without restrictions.

“As a result of our negotiations, we will sign an intergovernmental agreement on the mutual recognition of electronic digital signatures in cross-border electronic interaction,” said Mr. Mishustin (quoted from TASS). According to him, the signing of this agreement had been planned for about six years. During this time, the governments of both countries solved a complex of legal and technological problems.

The signing of the agreement will allow entrepreneurs of both countries not only to participate in government procurement, but also to perform other “legally important actions” in the common markets of the Union State.

The ministers also plan to sign, following negotiations, an agreement on the joint production of the Osvey light multipurpose aircraft.

“We are embarking on deep cooperation in the aircraft industry on the basis of mutual benefit and equal use of both technologies and common production capacities,” said the Russian Prime Minister (quoted by TASS).
