Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law on the ratification of the Russian-Belarusian agreement on the recognition of visas, should from a document published on the official portal of legal information.
According to the document, foreigners who have received a visa from Russia or Belarus can cross the borders of the second country without obtaining an additional visa. The mutual visa recognition regime will also apply to those who have a temporary residence permit, a residence permit or an invitation to attend an international sporting event in Russia or Belarus.
At the same time, any of the parties will be able to refuse entry or reduce the period of stay on its territory of any foreigner, “if this is necessary in order to ensure the defense capability or security of the state, public order, protect the health of the population, as well as in other cases provided for by law.”
