The Russian Security Council accused the West of trying to spoil relations between Moscow and Kazakhstan
The West is trying to spoil relations between Moscow and Kazakhstan. This was stated by Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Alexei Shevtsov during the Russian-Kazakh consultations on security.
He noted that Washington and its allies are spreading slander and manipulating public opinion, including through social networks.
“This is direct and unceremonious interference in the internal affairs of independent states,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Earlier, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that Astana is a strategic partner of Russia. According to him, the republic intends to remain in close contact with Moscow and strengthen mutual cooperation.
