Rostec will increase the production of kamikaze drones – Vedomosti

Rostec will increase the production of kamikaze drones “Cube” and “Lancet” several times. About it reported industrial director of the state corporation’s weapons complex Bekhan Ozdoev on the company’s Telegram channel.

Rostec will also increase the production of “Grenades”, “Tachyons” and other drone models.

Ozdoev clarified that the company will achieve a multiple increase in the production of drones by expanding the capabilities of UAV production. The head of the state corporation’s weapons complex, in turn, reported an increase in the production of heavy weapons and missiles.

“First of all, the growth is in tanks and combat vehicles based on them, lightly armored vehicles, multiple launch rocket systems, heavy flamethrower systems, thermal imaging and other optical devices, as well as weapons. This includes increasing the production of missiles for the Kinzhal, Iskander and Pantsir complexes, aerial bombs, artillery and tank shells,” Ozdoev said.

He also noted that the state corporation has doubled the production of high-precision weapons – Kitolov, Strela, Vikhr missiles, as well as 9M333 anti-aircraft guided missiles. At the same time, Rostec is developing new types of high-precision weapons. The company is creating a new generation of ammunition for the Malva self-propelled howitzer, including guided ones.

According to Ozdoev, Rostec enterprises involved in the implementation of state defense orders work around the clock. This increased the total production volume from two to 10 times, the production of some types of weapons increased tens of times. In 2023, the state corporation plans to fulfill the state defense order 100%.

In August, Rostec launched production of the second version of the Ovod kamikaze drone. The UAV operates on the First Person View (FPV) principle. The cost of the new modification is about 65,000 rubles, they are used by Russian military personnel.
