The Russian military began using the modernized Krasnopol guided missile with increased accuracy in the special operation zone. About it reports RIA Novosti with reference to the High-Precision Complexes holding (part of the Rostec state corporation).
They noted that the improved version of the projectile “can be successfully used during a special operation and, subject to the conditions of use, invariably hits the target.”
Deliveries of modernized weapons to the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation began in mid-August. Then the holding’s press service refused to disclose the properties of the improved version of the ammunition for safety reasons.
In addition, at Rostec reported on conducting combat testing of new reconnaissance and attack drones developed by the Kalashnikov concern in the special operation zone. Based on its results, if necessary, the drones will be modified. Then the state corporation will make a decision to launch the devices into mass production.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has repeatedly reported on the use of Krasnopol shells in the special operation zone. The ammunition was developed at the Instrument Design Bureau (part of the High-Precision Complexes holding company). “Krasnopol” – adjustable ammunition of 152 or 155 mm caliber. Its maximum range is up to 25 km. The projectile is designed to destroy armored targets and military installations.
