Rosstat estimated the enrollment of a first-grader at 22 thousand rubles, a first-grader at almost 27 thousand rubles

Over the year, the basic set of a first-grader, which includes clothes, shoes, stationery, has risen in price by 13.91% for boys, by 11.25% for girls, Rosstat calculated. According to him, in order to recruit a first-grader to school, parents need to spend 22.2 thousand rubles, and a first-grader – 26.8 thousand rubles.
The “basic set” of clothing, the price of which is quoted by the agency in its press release, includes two pairs of trousers and three shirts (for boys), three blouses, two dresses and two skirts (for girls), a tracksuit, two T-shirts, five pairs of socks or golf, three pairs of tights and one pair of shoes of different types. In the stationery category, prices were taken into account for five textbooks and four notebooks, five pencils and five pens, one set of felt-tip pens and one album. In addition, prices are given for electronic devices (flash drives, smartphones, tablets and laptops), as well as for additional classes.
How prices have changed compared to June 2021:
- Clothing for girls: skirts – – + 7.75%, blouses – + 8.88%;
- Clothing for boys: shirts – + 16.15%; trousers – 13.13%;
- School bags – + 9.62%;
- Notebooks — +36.49%;
- Ballpoint pens — +25.91%;
- Flash drives – + 5.73%;
- Smartphones – 21.05%.
- An hour of additional classes in state and municipal educational institutions – -3.19%;
- Education in public and private universities – -1.24 and -8.32%, respectively.
According to the agency, inflation was 15.1% over the year, prices for a first-grader set grew a little slower, which is in line with the trend of the last four years.
As follows from the weekly data Rosstat, deflation in Russia for the period from August 9 to 15 accelerated to 0.13%, as of August 15, inflation in annual terms amounted to 14.87% (according to calculations using average daily data).
