As a result, the agency came to the conclusion that Ukraine was isolated from Russia by the information space due to the influence of the United States. “By this time, the United States of America had been conducting targeted aggressive work in neighboring countries to undermine the sovereignty and security of the Russian Federation for a long period. Roskomnadzor explained the “color revolutions” in Ukraine and the protests in Belarus with the experience of Western countries in organizing information attacks using the media. According to Mr. Subbotin, the West used radio, TV channels, Facebook and Twitter as sources of calls for rallies, which led to the Euromaidan in 2014 in Ukraine.

During the report, Vadim Subbotin singled out four main themes that were used, among other things, by Ukrainian propaganda under the control of the United States: “mass capture / surrender of Russian military personnel, loss of personnel and military equipment, killing of Ukrainian civilians by Russian military personnel and deliberate destruction of social infrastructure facilities “. Since the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, Roskomnadzor has recorded more than 157 thousand fake materials, but now there is a decrease in their number.

The interim commission of the Federation Council was established in 2017. It is headed by Senator Andrei Klimov. The tasks of the commission include monitoring the activities of foreign states interfering in the internal affairs of Russia, monitoring relevant international legislation, and preparing proposals for its improvement.
