Rosfinmonitoring added the MKU movement to the list of terrorists and extremists

Rosfinmonitoring introduced the movement “Maniacs. The cult of murders ”(MKU, recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia) in the list of terrorists and extremists, follows from the data on the agency’s website.
January 16 Supreme Court of the Russian Federation acknowledged movement as a terrorist organization and banned the activities of the MKU on the territory of Russia, satisfying lawsuit Prosecutor General’s Office. The department previously stated that the goal of the organization is the formation of a “racially pure state.”
According to the materials of the case, the prosecutor’s office found that the movement’s activities are aimed at creating a cult of violence and stimulating the commission of murders. Participants of the MKU commit crimes of an extremist and terrorist nature, the documents say. The department came to the conclusion that this organization poses a threat to the security of society and the Russian Federation.
In September 2022, the FSB spent searches of 187 members of the Columbine public (the movement was recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia) and the MKU in 46 regions of Russia. As a result, edged weapons, photos and videos of “direct action” actions, as well as means of communication, correspondence and materials of an extremist nature were confiscated from 30 supporters of the movements.
Last February, the Supreme Court acknowledged the terrorist movement Columbine. In April, Rosfinmonitoring also added him to the list of terrorists and extremists. From this moment on, participation in the activities of the organization provides for criminal liability up to life imprisonment.
