Rosaviatsia recommended that iFly airlines carry passengers to Egypt on flights of other air carriers, the press service of the agency reports.

The report says that the airline planned to operate flights on the routes Vnukovo – Hurghada – Vnukovo and Vnukovo – Sharm El Sheikh – Vnukovo through Syrian airspace, which is potentially dangerous for aircraft.

“Rosaviatsia recommended that iFly take measures to transport passengers by flights of other airlines operating international flights to the points of the Arab Republic of Egypt,” the press service noted.

iFly has previously stated that flights are being delayed due to the closure of Jordanian airspace. The authorities of this country require insurance issued in London for flights, but Russian airlines cannot receive it due to sanctions.

Since the beginning of the military operation on the territory of Ukraine, the EU countries and the United States have imposed a number of sanctions against the Russian aviation industry. Thus, Western countries closed their airspace to Russian aircraft. At the end of February, the European Union banned the sale of aircraft and spare parts to Russian airlines, and a ban was also introduced on insurance and maintenance of goods related to the aviation and space industries.
