Romanian aviation did not conduct any operations on the territory of Ukraine using its air force. This statement was made on Tuesday, January 30, by the Republic’s Ministry of Defense, Newsweek writes.
The defense department called fake reports that a Romanian F-16C plane allegedly took off from the 86th air base in Constanta on Saturday, and at 03:22 bombed a group of Russian Federation forces near Kherson.
Meanwhile, the leader of the far-right Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR) party, Claudiu Tarziu, spoke in favor of rapprochement with Russia, recognizing “the need for good cooperation” between Moscow and Bucharest, “but only after Russia proves that it also wants all this.”
At the same time, military expert, Lieutenant Colonel of the LPR reserve Andrei Marochko noted that the North Atlantic Alliance air base in Romania “Mikhail Kogalniceanu” regularly receives military supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
