Evgeny Roizman, who previously held the post of mayor of Yekaterinburg, refused to plead guilty to discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Previously he was charged.

Searches were carried out in the apartment and office of the Roizman Foundation, as well as in the Museum of the Nevyansk Icon. The public figure claims that the reason for the detention is the phrase “invasion of Ukraine” he used.

As reported, during a search in Roizman’s apartment, law enforcement officers found business cards of foreign politicians, diplomats, public figures, including the former head of the security service of Ukraine Igor Smeshko.

Roizman was detained for 48 hours.
