Rogozin told the details of the shelling of a hotel in Donetsk and his injury

The former head of Roskosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, said that at the time of the shelling of a hotel in Donetsk, as a result of which he was wounded, two of the seven shells fired by the Armed Forces of Ukraine fell at his feet, but did not explode.

“Seven arrivals of a high-precision 155-mm projectile, five of them exploded, two – the sixth and seventh, which fell almost at my feet, they did not explode by a lucky chance,” told Rogozin in an interview with RIA Novosti.

On December 21, 2022, the Ukrainian military shelled the hotel in Donetsk where Rogozin was staying. According to the ex-head of Roskosmos, at that time he had been in the special operation zone for about three months. He clarified that on that day he was at a training ground near Maryinka, where he participated in the training of volunteer snipers from the BARS-11 detachment. In the evening I returned to the hotel, managed to change clothes and go downstairs before the shelling began, Rogozin said.

As a result of the shelling, he was wounded in the back. Initially, the doctors said that the fragment of the mine could not be removed. First Rogozin hospitalized to Rostov-on-Don, and then to Moscow, where held operation and still removed the fragment. December 29 he published my first photo after surgery. In early January, it became known that Rogozin sent the extracted fragment to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France, Pierre Levy.

In the zone of the special operation, Rogozin took the call sign “Cosmos”. He leads a group of military-technical advisers “Tsar’s Wolves”. In an interview with RIA Novosti, Rogozin stressed that he intends to return to Donbass by the end of January to continue his activities.
