The former head of Roskosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, sent the French Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Pierre Levy a fragment removed after being wounded in the Donbass. Rogozin asked to hand over a fragment from a shell fired by the French Caesar installation to President Emmanuel Macron, transmits RIA Novosti, which has a cover letter from Rogozin.

The letter, along with a fragment, as the agency specifies, were handed over on January 4 to the guards of the residence of the French ambassador in Moscow. Rogozin was injured in Donetsk at the end of December when the Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled a hotel where a group of military advisers lived. He was wounded above the right shoulder blade near the spine, he was taken to a hospital in the Moscow region and held operation. As a result of the shelling, in addition to Rogozin, DPR government chairman Vitaly Khotsenko and the mayor of Gorlovka Ivan Prikhodko, as well as the persons accompanying them, were injured, later it became known about the death of Mikhail Bridasov, assistant to the ex-head of Roskosmos.

Rogozin attached a fragment from a shell fired by the French 155-mm Caesar self-propelled artillery mount to the letter to the French ambassador. “It pierced my right shoulder and stuck in the fifth cervical vertebra just a millimeter from killing me or making me immobile disabled,” he wrote, adding that the projectile killed two of his friends.

“These guys accompanied us on a trip to Baikonur, you shook hands with them. Now they are killed by weapons supplied to Ukraine by your country. You probably know how many civilians were killed in Donetsk and the front-line cities of Novorossiya by French weapons and French mercenaries. These are hundreds of people, including children,” Rogozin said.

The author of the letter expressed the hope that the ambassador understands the measure of his personal responsibility for these deaths, and asked Levy to hand over the fragment cut out by the surgeons to French President Emmanuel Macron. “And also tell him that no one will escape responsibility for the war crimes of France, the United States, Great Britain, Germany and other NATO countries in the Donbass,” the letter says.

Rogozin has been in the area of ​​the special operation since October. On October 24, he confirmed that he was on the front line in the Zaporozhye region. He also wrote that he wanted “to make the dream of Slavyansk come true.” In 2014, Rogozin wrote in his social networks about his readiness to exchange all his positions “for the happiness of being now in the same trench with the defenders of Slavyansk.” In the zone of the special operation, he took the call sign “Cosmos”.
