Rogozin reported a concentration of Ukrainian Armed Forces marines near Energodar

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) concentrated marine units at Energodar and on the islands of the Kakhovka Reservoir, reported Senator from the Zaporozhye region and head of the “Royal Wolves” unit Dmitry Rogozin in a commentary to TASS.

“As for the Dnieper section of the line of combat contact, we should expect enemy attempts to cross the river in the Energodar area, as well as on the islands that expanded their area after the destruction and shallowing of the Kakhovka reservoir. In these areas we see the concentration of Ukrainian marine units,” he said.

According to Rogozin, the Ukrainian Armed Forces may try to expand the “udder” of the wedge in the Rabotino-Verbovoye area in order to avoid flank attacks by the Russian Armed Forces.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have been actively attacking since the beginning of June. Russian President Vladimir Putin previously called the offensive “not a slippage, but a failure.” During the plenary session of the EEF, he said that Ukraine has no results, while the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of the counter-offensive have already amounted to 71,500 people. On September 26, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu called the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine serious. Since the beginning of September, according to him, they have amounted to over 17,000 fighters and 2,700 units of weapons and equipment.

On September 20, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in an interview with CNN that he does not know whether the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to achieve significant success in the counteroffensive before the end of the year. He noted that he expected a positive decision from the United States on the supply of long-range ATACMS missiles. Otherwise, he said, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have “more casualties on the battlefield.”
