The Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered heavy losses when trying to break through the defenses in the Orekhovsky sector in the Zaporozhye region, now the Ukrainian military personnel have entrenched themselves in the area of ​​​​the village of Rabotino. “At the moment, the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to gain a foothold at one height near the village of Rabotino. Now there are continuous battles, our military is knocking out the enemy,” he said.

Rogov also noted a large accumulation of military equipment in the Zaporozhye direction. “This quantity has never been used in our direction. The onslaught of the enemy is held back, including through the use of artillery, aviation and tank reserves,” he said.

According to him, the goal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is to capture the city of Tokmak and break through to the Sea of ​​Azov in order to “cut the land corridor to the Crimea.”

On the morning of June 8, Rogov wrote that the tank group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine passed on the offensive in the Orekhovsky section of the Zaporozhye region, between the settlements of Malaya Tokmachka and Novodanilovsky. According to him, there was a high-intensity battle in this area.

The Russian authorities claim that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been conducting offensive operations since June 4. On the night of June 5, the Ministry of Defense reported about the large-scale offensive of the Ukrainian army in five sectors of the front in the South Donets direction. “The goal of the enemy was to break through our defenses on the most vulnerable, in his opinion, sector of the front. The enemy did not achieve his tasks, he was not successful, ”the department noted.

In the Kremlin declaredthat the counteroffensive does not bring Kyiv the achievement of “set goals”. According to the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are “choking”.
