“The enemy cannot build a line of defense”

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian Armed Forces in the Orekhovsk direction of the Zaporozhye Front have advanced north from the villages of Shevchenko and Novoselovka and secured new positions. The head of the regional movement “We are together with Russia”, Vladimir Rogov, told MK about this. The enemy launched a series of unsuccessful counterattacks on Verbovoye, which had previously been taken under control by the Russian military. And Rabotino turned into the same “point for the disposal of APU” as Avdievka and Bakhmut were earlier.

– Some changes are happening at the front now, can you tell us about them?

– Over the past day and a half, our positions in the Orekhovsk direction of the Zaporozhye Front, closer to Gulyai-Polye, have significantly improved. On the front section located southeast of Gulyai-Polye, in the area of ​​two settlements – Shevchenko and Novoselovka – significant advances of our troops took place. That is, our guys advanced north from Shevchenko and Novoselovka and managed to gain a foothold in new positions. Here we have successes, plus the fact that our artillery and especially FABs do not give the enemy the opportunity to build a new line of defense.

– How are things going in general?

“Our guys are going step by step, moving forward. As they gain a foothold in each new position, it is subject to waves of counterattacks from the enemy, who is trying to regain lost control. Today we specifically repulsed several attacks on Verbovoye, which we had previously taken control of. Thank God, the enemy did not succeed.

– So you can’t say that the Ukrainian side is fleeing?

– No, the Ukrainian side is not fleeing; the Ukrainian side, on the contrary, is transferring units, including from the Avdeevka direction, to the Zaporozhye direction. It seems to me that since Zelensky is playing a PR war, Rabotino is such a symbol for him, or rather, even the only symbol of success. A symbol that they have at least achieved something. Therefore, the loss of Rabotino nullifies all their efforts. This is the symbol they are trying to defend. Moreover, there is a feeling that they want to drive our guys out of Rabotino just before the elections. Our people have made significant progress there. Now we see that half of the villages are below us, half are below them. The south is below us, the north is below them, and the center is mostly a gray area. There is a feeling that Zelensky needs at least some kind of victory before the elections. And they are trying to achieve this victory in Rabotino. Because from the point of view of military art, transferring still more or less combat-ready units that our guys are grinding there to the Rabotino site is absolutely illogical.

– Is this settlement so important?

“There’s nothing left of Rabotino now.” These are essentially ruins. When we talk about the Rabotino school or the House of Culture, we must understand that these are simply the places where these buildings were. Physically, these are just piles of bricks. That is, these are very conventional buildings. It’s just that on the basis of this, one or the other makes fortified areas and strongholds and hangs a flag, showing that now we are here, or they are here. Rabotino is a lowland, and you need to go around it. Every meter there is practically targeted. Our FABs and their JDAMs, this is their version of guided bombs. Rabotino is more a symbol than any military necessity or success.

– You say that the enemy is trying to counterattack. How successful?

“They constantly undertake fierce counterattacks, that is, almost without interruption, bringing in more and more new reserves and essentially abandoning them to slaughter. Starting from small groups of 5-7 people, ending with medium ones of 15-20. But most of these groups have a very sad end, they are destroyed in the same way as the equipment on which they are transferred, or the same equipment on which they are trying to evacuate and rotate. For the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Rabotino is a dead place in the literal sense. In Rabotino, Ukrainian Armed Forces militants are being disposed of in quantities already comparable to other disastrous places such as Avdievka and Bakhmut. There, everyone rushes and rushes to the slaughter of the Ukrainian Armed Forces without any success or achievements for them.
