Rogov announced a counterattack by Russian troops in the Pyatihatki area

The Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation launched an offensive near the village of Pyatikhatki, Zaporozhye region. This was announced by a member of the main council of the regional administration, chairman of the movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov, transmits “RIA News”.

“Active hostilities continue in the Vasilyevsky direction. Our guys, having repelled the enemy’s attack on the Zherebyanki village, went on a counterattack and destroyed the enemy both with the help of mortar fire and artillery, squeezing out the remaining group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the amount of about 60-70 militants from the outskirts of the northern part of the village of Pyatikhatki,” he said.

Rogov explained that it was necessary to push the APU away from the village, since the enemy was trying to capture Zherebyanki from these positions. From there, access to Vasilievka, Energodar and Tokmak opens, he added.

The village of Pyatikhatki is under the control of Russian forces. Earlier today, the head of the press center of the Vostok group, Oleg Chekhov informedthat in the area of ​​​​the settlement, ground attack aircraft inflicted fire damage on accumulations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The military operation of Russia in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories, after holding referenda, became part of Russia.
