Right-wing parties win elections in Sweden

The Swedish right may form governments for the first time in 10 years, according to the preliminary results of the general elections. At the time of processing 95% of the ballots, they receive 175 seats in parliament (Riksdag) out of 349, reports Reuters.
The most successful among them were the far-right “Swedish Democrats”, who made a name for themselves by criticizing the government’s immigration policy. They finished second with a score of 20.6%. The first place went to the ruling Social Democrats, who received 30.5% of the vote.
The final results of the elections will be known on Wednesday, reports Reuters. In the event of a likely victory for the right, Sweden will become more difficult for immigrants to reach. This is even more important for refugees from Ukraine and African migrants fleeing climate change.
