RIA Novosti: The Federation Council will not publish information from the declarations of senators

The Federation Council decided not to publish any information on the income declarations of senators, reports “RIA News” with a link to the source. On March 1, amendments to the legislation came into force, allowing State Duma deputies and senators not to publish their income and property declarations.

In December 2022, Vladimir Putin signed a decree allowing officials not to publish declarations. By the same document, some categories of the military were allowed not to submit information about their income for the duration of the military operation in Ukraine.

At the same time, a number of deputies decided to publish data on their incomes. In particular, at the end of January, the declaration was published by Sardana Avksentyeva, deputy head of the New People faction in the State Duma. On March 19, information about the income of the chairman of the lower house, Vyacheslav Volodin, was posted on the website of the State Duma. United Russia members Alexander Khinshtein, Vladimir Burmatov, Alexei Govyrin and Rimma Utyasheva, as well as Stanislav Naumov (LDPR) and Roza Chemeris (New People) followed the example of the speaker.

A Just Russia-For Truth decided not to limit itself to point publications and on March 31 published the declarations of all its Duma deputies from its faction on the party website. Deputy head of the Communist Party faction Nikolai Kolomeytsev declaredthat all deputies of the Communist Party faction in the State Duma will publish declarations on their income and property.
