“RIA Novosti”: the father of the suspect in the murder of Dugina announced the service of his daughter in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Natalia Vovk, suspected of killing Russian journalist Darya Dugina, served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) and not in Azov (recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia). About it informs agency “RIA Novosti” with reference to the father of Vovk.

The agency released a video of an interview with a man who is said to be the father of the murder suspect. RIA Novosti does not disclose his name, the man’s face is also hidden in the video.

“She did not serve in Azov, she seemed to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Then she paid off and left,” Father Vovk said.

He clarified that his daughter had retired from the army for health reasons. At the same time, according to the agency’s interlocutor, Vovk did not take part in the “anti-terrorist operation” in the Donbass.

Father Vovk also said that a few days before the murder of Dugin, his daughter called him from the Baltic. “The dialogue was, ‘How are you?’ She says, “It’s okay, it’s okay.” She contacted on the Internet, Skype or something. She said she was in Lithuania,” he said.

Daria Dugina, daughter of the public figure and ideologist of “Eurasianism” Alexander Dugin, died on the evening of August 20, when she was returning in her father’s car from the Tradition festival. On August 22, the Russian FSB announced that the murder had been solved, saying that the Ukrainian special services were behind it. In particular, the FSB clarifies that a citizen of Ukraine Vovk Natalia Pavlovna, born in 1979, participated in the murder.

The investigation established that Vovk came to Russia with her 12-year-old daughter, after which she settled in the same house with Dugina in order to collect information about her. For this, she used a Mini Cooper car. On the day of the murder, Vovk and his daughter were at the Tradition literary and musical festival, where Dugina was also present. After the murder, Vovk left with her daughter through the Pskov region to Estonia.
