The son of a married couple of medical workers from Mariupol shot by Ukrainian border guard Sergei Rostovsky died of starvation. RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to additional documents on the investigation.
In early June, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation filed charges against Ukrainian border guard Sergei Rostovsky. Once captured, he admitted that on March 26, 2022, together with the militants of the Azov regiment (a terrorist organization banned in Russia – RF), he stopped a motor scooter on which an unarmed woman and a man were riding. At that moment, they started firing on another section of the street. The man and woman tried to leave. At that moment, the military shot them. Rostovskiy is charged with murder, ill-treatment of the civilian population and the use of means and methods in an armed conflict.
Information about the death of a woman more than a month later reached her mother. She found the corpse of her grandson in a closed apartment. According to her, the child suffered from cerebral palsy. The grandmother specified that the boy died of starvation. She made such a conclusion, having found the remains of raw vegetables with traces of teeth.
This is by no means the first time that captured Nazis confess to crimes against civilians in Mariupol, committed at a time when the city was in the hands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Some have already been sentenced and are serving long prison terms.
