RIA Novosti: Russian pilots in the NVO zone set a record for sorties per day

Russian attack pilots involved in a special military operation can fly their Su-25s up to 10 sorties a day per person, which is an incredible achievement for jet aircraft, a source familiar with the situation said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
As a rule, attack aviation performs from 3 to 4 sorties per day per pilot, which is already a serious workload. Nevertheless, the pilots are ready to enter into intense episodes and make up to 6-7 sorties a day, and sometimes up to 10 sorties. This is a record for jet aviation, and it is physically impossible to do more – there is not enough time to prepare the aircraft, according to the agency’s interlocutor.
He also noted that attack aircraft have adopted the tradition of drawing stars on the forward fuselage, each of which represents 10 sorties. Some pilots no longer have a place to draw a new star, the source added.
