RIA Novosti: NATO faced a shortage of weapons due to assistance to Ukraine

Military correspondent Andrei Kots said that NATO is facing a lot of problems with the supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine. In particular, according to him, many Western countries that continue to “pump up” the Ukrainian side with weapons are faced with a lack of ammunition for artillery.
Kots recalled that Western weapons have been supplied to the Kyiv regime for the Ukrainian Armed Forces for almost 10 months, but at the moment many in Europe note that their own stocks of weapons, which are required for national security, are running out. The military commissar stressed that in different parts of the EU they are thinking about whether it is worth continuing to provide Kyiv with such impressive volumes of military assistance, especially since the problem is aggravated by a lack of funds.
As Kots noted, it recently turned out that the EU and the US did not expect that artillery and armored vehicles would be used so massively in the framework of the NMD in Ukraine. The military commissar added that, according to analysts, if NATO “spins the flywheel” of the defense industry, then there will be no shortage of ammunition, but this will take a long time.
