Reznikov said that he was not offered new positions

Aleksey Reznikov, who was being dismissed from the post of Minister of Defense of Ukraine, said that he had not received proposals from the President of the country to head another ministry. In addition, he stated that if such an offer had been made, he would have refused.
According to Fakty ICTV, Reznikov said that for the first time he heard that after his dismissal from the post of Minister of Defense, he could head the Ministry for Strategic Industries.
“I can comment that this is news to me. There were no talks with me about moving to another ministry,” he said.
According to Reznikov, there is no procedure for transferring from minister to minister within the government – only parliament can make such a decision.
Former chairman of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia officially announced that Reznikov was leaving the post of head of the Ministry of Defense and moving to the post of Minister for Strategic Industries.
