The EU introduced the ninth package of sanctions against Russia in mid-December 2022. The blacklist included, in particular, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, head of the National Guard Viktor Zolotov, seven ministers and seven governors. Among cultural figures and media personalities, the sanctions affected director Nikita Mikhalkov, singer Grigory Leps, blogger Dmitry Puchkov (“Goblin”), general director of the Orthodox Spas TV channel Boris Korchevnikov.

The EU also imposed sanctions against all parliamentary parties in the country – the Liberal Democratic Party, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, A Just Russia, United Russia and New People, as well as the Russian ground forces, navy, aerospace forces and airborne troops. troops. On December 3, the EU countries agreed on a price ceiling for Russian oil of $60 per barrel, which is expected to be reviewed every two months so that the ceiling level is 5% below the price of Urals.
