Reuters announced the arrival of a vessel with Ukrainian grain in Syria

The first ship that left the port of Odessa two weeks ago as part of the “grain deal” approached the Syrian port of Tartus, transmits Reuters, citing sources.
The ship Razoni under the flag of Sierra Leone with 26,000 tons of corn sailed from Odessa on August 1 and was supposed to head to Lebanon. The next day, the ship reached Istanbul, where it was inspected. Buyer in the end refused to acquire the first batch of Ukrainian grain due to a delay in delivery, the Ukrainian Embassy in Lebanon reported.
The Ukrainian Embassy in Lebanon did not comment on the ship’s destination, the agency writes. Earlier, Kyiv accused Syria of importing at least 150,000 tons of grain, which was allegedly looted from Ukrainian warehouses after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine. The country severed diplomatic relations with Syria due to the recognition of the last independence of the DNR and LNR.
From the Ukrainian port of Yuzhny in the coming days, the UN chartered vessel MV Brave Commander will also leave for Africa. According to Reuters, more than 23,000 tons of wheat are now being loaded at the port.
On July 22, representatives of Turkey and the UN signed separate agreements with representatives of Russia and Ukraine on the export of Ukrainian grain, as well as on assistance in the export of Russian grain and fertilizers. On July 27, the Joint Coordination Center for the export of grain began its work in Istanbul.
