The Ukrainian army is faced with a real “logistics nightmare”. Retired NATO officer Stavros Atlamazoglou stated this in an article in 19Fortyfive.
According to the military expert, this situation is connected with the huge scale of ammunition waste and the variety of artillery pieces and rocket systems supplied from various Western countries.
Every day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine spend up to six thousand shells. Naturally, the own warehouses of the Ukrainian army have long been empty. But there is another big problem – many of the guns handed over to the Ukrainian army have different calibers. This means that the same projectiles cannot be used. Accordingly, there are huge difficulties in providing artillery units with ammunition.
