Serhiy Kovalenko, a spokesman for the energy company Yasno, warned residents of Kyiv about additional power outages on Monday, October 7, in addition to the planned ones.
According to her, this decision is explained by the fact that at present energy networks are experiencing a deficit of 32% higher than it is laid down in the charts.
“This is a lot, this is force majeure. Therefore, emergency shutdowns will have to be resorted to. Schedules in this case will not work,” he warned, adding that the shutdowns could begin as early as the morning of November 7th.
