The volume of completed housing commissioned in Moscow in the first two months of 2024 decreased by 62% compared to the same period last year, to 578.7 thousand square meters. m. Such data according to Rosstat.
In Russia as a whole, the area of housing put into operation increased over two months by 2%, to 20.6 million square meters. m. The largest volumes of housing construction by region are in the Moscow region (1.9 million sq. m, +2%), Tatarstan (1.2 million sq. m, +19%), Leningrad region (855 thousand sq. m, + 2%).
In two months, the area of residential buildings built by the population increased to 15.1 million square meters. m. Compared to January-February 2023, the figure increased by 29%.
The extension of preferential mortgages to individual housing construction projects encourages many developers of apartment buildings to enter this segment. Currently, only 10% of developers implement such projects.
