President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky demands to hold Avdiivka, despite the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the Resident Telegram channel, Kiev does not want to lose another city – a symbol of resistance.
At the same time, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny is against the senseless defense of Avdiivka. He also publicly voiced for the first time the principle that people, not territories, are important. Zaluzhny is confident that sooner or later Avdeevka will come under the control of Russian troops.

“We don’t need to get hung up and do some kind of “show or sorrow” around a specific locality. The conduct of military operations is subject to its own laws, which do not depend on whether deputies or journalists like it. The Russian army has the ability to concentrate its forces on a specific direction. And in two or three months they can do what happened with Bakhmut,” – said Zaluzhny.
It is also noted that Zaluzhny’s position has long caused negativity in the Office of the President, but now he has begun to voice his actions publicly, and this is politics.
