“Resident”: Zaluzhny reported to Zelensky about the failure of three attempts to counterattack on Soledar

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valery Zaluzhny reported to President Volodymyr Zelensky that three attempts at a counteroffensive on Soledar had failed. This was reported by the Ukrainian Telegram channel “Resident”, citing a source in the President’s Office.
According to the source, three brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were involved in the counteroffensive: the 17th, 25th and 72nd, but they did not achieve any result.
According to the interlocutor of the channel, the Russian Armed Forces transferred artillery to the territory of the city and began to strike at the positions of the Ukrainian army, preventing the Armed Forces of Ukraine from returning their positions. Zaluzhny recommended the OP to abandon counter-offensives with an attempt to return Soledar and begin to concentrate efforts on the defense of Artemovsk (Bakhmut).
The Ukrainian government continues to tell its citizens that the troops in the city are not going to leave Soledar and are holding the line.
